Note:
Please only use the water boiler with the lid. When heated, water can escape with-
out cover. There is a risk of scalding!
Place the water kettle on the base and then press down the On/Off switch. The
water is heated immediately. As soon as the water reaches the boiling point, the
water kettle switches off automatically.
6 Decaling and cleaning
We recommend decalcifying the kettle in regular intervals, depending on the inten-
sity of use. Before cleaning, it is essential to remove the power plug from the sock-
et and wait until the device is completely cooled down. The scale filter is located in
front of to the spout. Open the lid and pull out the filter. Then deep clean the filter
with warm water and reinsert it into the holder.
When inserting the filter, make sure that the retaining lug snaps into the guide rail.
Only use conventional decaling agents based on citric acid. Please follow the man-
ufacturer´s instructions for dosing the respective product you have chosen. The
base plate must not be cleaned and should not be processed with sharp or hard
objects. For cleaning the outer surface of the kettle, only use a damp cloth. Never
use hard or abrasive objects like a wire brush or a steel-sponge for cleaning. Please
do not use any aggressive cleaning agents which could be harmful or unhealthy. It
also could damage the surface.
7 Safety instructions and disclaimer
Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact
with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified
for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity,
water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device
to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage elec-
tronic components.
Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has
received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national
regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those
described in the instructions.
