Installation of stainless steel
Universal handle
This handle is intended mainly for the straight rectangle bathtubs. It can also serve as a suitable design accessory, or as a help for people with
restricted mobility or disabilities.
The handle can be mounted also in a shower enclosure or on a bathroom wall.
If possible, the handle should be mounted on a bathtub prior to its installation. However, it can be mounted on a bathtub that has been installed
already on the inner straight surface, or on its upper rim.
To find the optimal location for the handle, we recommend you to try it directly on the bathtub.

Mounting instructions

1.
Insert the bolts ( ) into the handle ( ) and secure with a set-screw ( ) Measure the accurate spacing " " for the bolts, and remove the bolts again.
3
2.
Place the handle into the chosen location, check its seating on the tub, its function and appearance in this position. Use a pencil to mark out the
accurate outline of both seating faces of the handle ends.
3.
Remove the covering paper from the template ( ) and apply the transparent self-adhesive foil as accurately as possible to the outline drawn on the
bahtub. Control the " " spacing, and, if needed, adjust the spacing of the openings axis (tolerance 0,5 mm). Drill the Ø 3 mm holes in the positions
x
marked on the template. Remove the template. To continue, choose one of the following ways:
A) Mounting the handle prior to bathtub installtion
4.
Enlarge the pre-drilled Ø 3 mm holes to Ø 8 mm. Be very careful when drilling, use use only little force with the drill set at higher speed, vertically
towards the tub.
5.
Insert the threaded bolt ( ) into the opening and tighten it slightly. Set the handle on the bolt ends (the set-screws must point to the bathtub), and
3
tighten the set-screws with the allen key ( ). Check seating of the handle and the bolts. Some minor measurement inaccuracies can be adjusted by
re-drilling the openings to the max. Ø 10 mm.
6.
Apply a layer of silicon putty (from the backside of the bathtub) around the opening for the washer ( ) before you attach the handle definitely. Use
only appropriate strength to tighten the bolts ( ) to avoid damaging the bathtub.
B) Mounting the handle on an already installed bathtub
7.
This way of installing is more difficult, demanding use of special tools; we therefore recommend you to have it done by professionals. Check
spacing of the bolts ( ) on the handle and compare it to spacing of the holes pre-drilled in the bathtub adjust the spacing if necessary. Enlarge the
3
holes carefully to Ø 11 mm. In the hole, prepare a tapered enlargement (Ø 13 mm, depth 1,5 mm) for the nut-rivet. Try out recessing of the handle
complete with the rivets don´t clinch the rivets yet. Use the riveting tool to fit the nut-rivets ( ) into the openings.
8.
Screw the bolts ( ) with the rubber "O" ring, and set the handle on. Fix the handle by tightening the set-screws ( ).
3
C) Mounting the handle on a wall
9.
It is possible to mount the handle on a bathroom wall (provided the wall has sufficient constructional strength) or in a shower enclosure. Following
the steps ., ., and ., fit either steel or plastic plugs (with inner thread M8) for the approx 20 mm long handle bolt ( ) into the wall.

10.
When choosing the plugs, take into account the presumed loading of the handle, as well as rigidity of the wall on which you want to install the
handle.
11.
Only 0,5 mm tolerance is allowed for spacing of the plugs!
12.
Using a flat wrench, screw the bolt ( ) into the plug. Set the handle ( ) on and fix it by tightening the set-screws ( ).
D) Installing the handle on a polyurethane-reinforced bathtub, PU-PLUS
Bathtubs reinforced by sprayed layer of PU have, compared to the laminate-reinforced ones, thicker sides and especially rims. Therefore it is
necessary to measure thickness of the rim first.
13.
If the bathtub side is less than 12 mm thick, follow the instructions given in paragraph or .
14.
If the PU reinforcement in the rim is more than 15 mm thick, install the handle this way:
15.
In the location of ø 3 mm holes drill ø 6,7 mm holes and make an M 8 thread.
16.
Screw the pegs no. with rubber "O-ring" in the thread. To tighten them, use appropriate force (up to 5 Nm) so as not to damage the thread in the
3
plastic bathtub rim.
17.
Set the handle on and fix it there.
