Keep the mains cord out of the reach of children. Do not let the mains cord hang over the edge

This unique brewing system is extra sensitive to scale build-up. Regular descaling is therefore
very important. It prolongs the life of your coffeemaker and guarantees an optimal brewing
result (see chapter 'Descaling').

Do not place the appliance on a hot surface and prevent the mains cord from coming into
contact with hot surfaces.

Unplug the appliance if problems occur during brewing and before you clean it.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on

Before first use

Clean the detachable parts (see chapter 'Cleaning').

Let the appliance run once without filling the filter with ground coffee (see chapter 'Using the
appliance').

Remove the water tank lid.

Make sure the water tank disc is on the water tank.

Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water (Fig. 2).
Make sure you fill the water tank to a level between the minimum and 8/12-cup indications.
Always place the water tank lid back onto the appliance after filling the water tank to allow the
appliance to function properly.

The graduations on the left are for large cups (120ml).

The graduations on the right are for small cups (80ml).

Open the filter holder support (Fig. 3).

Take a paper filter (size 102) and fold the sealed edges to prevent tearing and folding. You can
also use a permanent filter.

Put the filter in the filter holder (Fig. 4).

Put ground coffee (filter-fine grind) in the filter. (Fig. 5)
Note: Use filter-fine ground coffee. If you grind the coffee yourself, do not grind it so fine that it is almost
powder-like.
