Intended Use
The sound recording device can record and play back sound or language with a length of 10 seconds.
The module is supplied with power by means of three button cells and can thus be operated independently of location and
absolutely risk-free.
The module can be used as an independent device or for installations in other products such as, for example an information
board.
No part of the product must be modified or rebuilt! Observe the safety instructions in their entirety!
Safety instructions and hazard warnings
Please read all of the operating instructions before using the product for the first time; they contain
important information regarding the correct operation.
• The module has been CE-tested and meets the necessary European guidelines.
• The warranty will be void for damage arising from non-compliance with these operating instructions! We do not assume
any liability for resulting damage!
• We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safe-
ty instructions! Your guarantee will expire in any such case!
• This device is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around carelessly. They might be swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doc-
tor immediately.
• Avoid playing the voice recorder directly into your ears.
Starting up and operation
The modules are delivered already equipped with three button cell batteries. An insulating strip in the battery compartment
(4) prevents accidential activation.
For initial operation remove the insulating strip from the battery compartment. The module is now ready for operation.
There are more operating elements on the rear.

Noise recording/playback
• Slide the switch 2 to position "REC".
• Press the upper cover downwards and hold it pressed down.
• The red operating display begins to light up.
• The desired sound can now be recorded for up to 10 seconds into the microphone (3). To
terminate recording operation, release the cover or, after the 10 seconds, the recording
will stop automatically.
• For playback, set the switch (2) to the "PLAY" position.
• Press the upper cover again briefly and the playback will start.

Inserting/Replacing the batteries
The batteries have to be replaced when the volume decreases or the device no longer functions. It is advisable to remove flat

batteries immediately to prevent damage caused by leaking batteries.

Proceed as follows to replace the batteries:
Unscrew the battery compartment lid on the back (4) and remove the lid. Replace the flat
batteries with three new ones of the same type. When inserting the batteries the correct
polarity must be observed as it is pictured! Observe the polarity markings in the battery com-
partment, too.
Replace the lid and screw it down carefully.
Compatible batteries (2pcs set LR44) can be ordered with Ord.-No. 65 20 41.

Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As a consumer you are required (Battery Ordinance)to responsibly dispose of all used batteries and rechargeable batteries;
it is forbidden to throw them away with the normal household waste!
When the device has become unusable, dispose of it in accordance with the current statutory regulations.
