Characteristics of the a/b interface
The pin assignment in the jacks can differ from analog device to analog device. Compare the
pin assignment below with the pin assignment of your analog device. To do this, consult the
operating manual of the analog device or ask the responsible support staff.
If the pins (3 + 4) of your analog device are suitable, you can use the cable supplied with the
PhoneAdapter.
Western plug (RJ12)
• Supply current max. 40 mA
• Call voltage approx. 35 Vrms, call frequency 20 Hz (USA), 25 Hz (EU), 50 Hz (France)
• Busy signal when both B channels are busy
• R signal: Flash
• DMTF dialing
• The following are not supported:
Earthing key, pulse dialing, CLIP, door opener, voicemail server with a/b interface, message
waiting lamp, dicating function, loudspeaker, announcement function (e. g. start/stop).
