Main functions

Self-test

Switch ON the machine by pressing the power switch on the back. In the main display you can see „0.00" after
self checking.

Counting modes

Free counting mode (value and number counting)
The M 4 will start counting after pressing the START/STOPP button. After counting all coins (no more coins on
the hopper), the device will stop counting automatically and you can see the result on the display. In the above
area in the display you can see the counted numbers of each denomination (max. 1 - 8 / depends on model).
No. 1 is on the right side in the back and no. 8 is on the left side in the back. By pressing the „C" - key again,
you will clear the counting result.

Batch mode

Please set the batch numbers as follows:
By pressing the „Set" - key, you can activate the batch function for adjusting the batch sizes. By pressing the
keys „1" to max. „8", you can choose the adjustable denomination (2,00; 1,00; 0,50; ...). The adjustable
denomination will flashing in the display. Now you can set the required batch size for the activated
denomination by pressing the keys „1" to „0". The machine will now stop counting by reaching the presetted
batch size for one denomination. The denomination of the reached number will be flashing in the display. Now
you can take away the counted coins of the denomination shown in the display. For continue counting, please
press the START/STOPP - key. For deactivating the batch function, please press the „C" - key after choosing a
denomination as shown above.

Trouble shooting

Universal

By switching ON the device, it will test its own functions.
If there is any error message in the display, please refer to the technical support of hbw cash solutions.
Put the device on a level and planer surface, so that it´s placed firm and safe. Otherwise problems refering the
counting / sorting result can appear. It can possibly happen, that a coin will block the machine.
A blocked coin can be removed with the finger from below, therefore disconnect the power plug first.
If required, you can open front / head of the machine by pressing the unlocking know (see on page 5) for
removing blocked coins or foreign objects.

Maintenance

As the machine is exposed to wear, it is advisable to clean the device professionally. hbw cash solutions
offers services for that. Feel free to contact the technical support of hbw cash solutions.
As the operating mode of the machine is based upon sensor technology, do not expose it to direct
solar radiation.
hbw cash solutions can take no liability for counting and sorting coins.
Take care, that only permitted coins are counted, otherwise damages to the device can appear.
Before cleaning the machine the power supply has to be disconnected unconditionally!
Clean the device exclusively with a dry brush, the compressed air* cleaner B8
or the special cleaner R 605 of hbw cash solutions.
(* alternative: Compressor with dry / oil free air. Max. 4 bar)
Please never clean the device with chemical cleaner.
