GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

After unpacking, check the product for damage.
If in doubt, do not use; contact a qualified
technician.
-
The plastic packaging bag is a potential source
of danger and must be kept out of the reach
of children.
-
If the plug and power point are incompatible,
have the plug replaced by a qualified techni-
cian. The use of single- or multi-socket adapt-
ors and/or extension cords is not recom-
mended. If they are necessary, use only adapt-
ors and/or extension cords that comply with
current safety regulations and do not exceed
their rated power limits.

In the event of failure or malfunction, contact
only authorised Service Centres.
-
This appliance must only be used for its in-
tended purpose: extracting fruit and vegetable
juice. Any other use is incorrect and therefore
dangerous. The manufacturer disclaims all lia-
bility for damages resulting from incorrect,
wrong or careless use and/or repairs made
by unqualified persons.
Observe the following important safety rules
carefully :

Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp
hands.

Do not use the appliance with wet or bare feet.
-
Do not unplug the appliance by pulling out the
power cord.
-
Do not expose the appliance to atmospheric
agents (rain, sun, frost, etc.).
-
Do not allow children or unfit persons to use
the appliance without supervision.
-
When not in use, unplug the appliance.
-
Do not leave the appliance on when not in use
as it is a potential source of danger.
-
Do not immerse the appliance in water.
-
If the power cord is damaged, have it re-
placed immediately by a qualified person.
-
Before cleaning or carrying out any mainte-
nance work, always disconnect the appliance
by removing the plug from the power point.

In the event of failure or malfunction, switch

off the appliance and do not attempt to repair
it yourself. Contact an authorised Service
Centre and insist on the use of original spare
parts and accessories.
Should you decide not to use the appliance
again, make it inoperable by first unplugging
it, then cutting the power cord.
Keep these instructions in a safe place for fu-
ture reference.
Check that the power supply corresponds to
the voltage shown on the name plate.
Before using for the first time, carefully wash
and dry the feeder press, lid, filter, residue
container and beaker (see the paragraph re-
garding dismantling and cleaning).
Position the residue container in the machine
body, then insert the filter unit ensuring it is
well seated.
Attach the lid, then hook the two levers onto
the lid and lock them by pushing inwards. The
appliance is equipped with a safety device
preventing the machine from operating if the
lid is not properly attached.
Do not use this device as an on-off switch.
Then place the feeder press in its specially
shaped aperture.
Connect the plug to the power point.
Prepare the vegetables and/or fruit for proc-
essing by taking the pits out of cherries, apri-
cots, peaches, plums etc., and peeling citrus
fruits, watermelons, pineapples, kiwis etc.
Then cut into small pieces and place in the
food holder. (Fig. 1)
Start the appliance by moving the switch to
position I. (Fig. 2)
Push the pieces down through the opening with
the feeder press, exerting a light pressure. (Fig. 3)
Never push foodstuffs into the extractor with
your fingers.
