Alarm Monitor
For protection of your life stock you can monitor your fence completely. When the fence voltage
is declining due to vegetation growth or a short circuit resp. a fence break an optical and
audible signal is released within seconds. The activated alarm signal can be transferred via
accessory devices like sirens, flashlights or dialing unit.
Connection to Fence and Earthing
• Connect the green earth terminal with the earthing terminal of the energiser resp. install a
separate earthing system for the Alarm Monitor.
• Connect the red fence terminal to the fence location that should be monitored.

1. The ideal situation is to set up the fence to be monitored as a so called fence loop (see
pic. above). Thereby achieving complete monitoring of your fence system. (Note: For long
fences the impulse transfer to the end of the fence suffers in this connection).
2. Connect all wires in parallel as usually done with electric fencing (see pic. below). Thus the
losses at the end of the fence are clearly lower. But the monitoring could be constricted, that
means single wire breaks will not always be displayed.
It is also possible to connect the fence terminal of the Alarm Monitor directly to the fence
terminal of the energiser. In
this connection the alarm is
only activated when there is
a short-circuit or vegetation
growth.
