3. How to Operate

4. The Main Menu
Your VQSM4CRT is packed with many features. To activate these features, enter the system set up menu by
pressing the MENU BUTTON (12).
Press the SET BUTTON (13) to activate a command. Press the MENU BUTTON again to return to the previous
menu.

If you want the cameras to rotate automatically between them, select the AUTO MODE
(2). Adjust the channel switching time (1-20 seconds) by turning the DWELL KNOB (8).
The PIP (3) allows you to select a smaller window to view a camera image whilst viewing
a full screen image. Select the camera you want in PIP mode in the SYSTEM SETTINGS
menu.
The ZOOM FUNCTION (4) allows you to enlarge an area of the screen for closer viewing.
The size of the zoom window is fixed but the position can be moved. Press ZOOM (4) to
select the zoom function and then select the channel. Move the image around using the
TOGGLE BUTTON (14).
Select the QUAD FUNCTION (5) to return to the quad screen image.
Push on the desired CHANNEL SELECT BUTTON (6) to view that particular channel in
full view.
When the RECORDING BUTTON (7) is pressed, "REC" will be flashing on the screen. If
the REC TRIG SOCKET (b) is connected to a VCR/DVR with external trigger function,
the VCR/DVR will start recording. Press the button again to stop the VCR/DVR recording.
"REC" will disappear.
Press the PLAYBACK BUTTON (9) to view your VCR/DVR images. You must connect a
VCR/DVR to the VCR IN (e) socket.
The FREEZE FUNCTION (10) allows you to instantly freeze the image you are viewing.
When the freeze function is activated in the quad function, all the channels will freeze.
De-activate the freeze mode on each channel by pressing the CHANNEL SELECT
BUTTON (6). Press the FREEZE BUTTON again to de-activate the freeze function on all
the channels.
