ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
The two-part curved bathtub wall consists of one straight part which is mounted to the bathroom wall. The curved wall is
then attached to the straight one. This bath wall should only be installed into a completely finished bathroom with
permanently installed bathtub. Place the structure (including the mounting profiles) on the upper edge of the bathtub
approximately 1.5 to 2cm from the outer edge. Make sure that the swinging door can be completely opened or folded over
the bathtub. Watch out for tub-mounted water taps or the control panel for the hydromassage systém.
2.
Place the entire bath wall into a vertical position on the bathtub and adjust it using a level. Mark the position of the edges
of the mounting profile to the wall. Place the bath wall aside and remove the mounting profile from it by removing the three
screws and washers holding it in place.
3.
Place the mounting profile into position against the wall (with the rounded side towards the outside of the bathtub).
Mark the three oval openings of the mounting profile on the wall. Place the profile aside.
4.
In the center of the marked ovals, drill 8 mm diameter holes and place a dowel plug in it. Before drilling check for electric,
gas and water mains in the walls.
5.
Using the bolts from the assembly kit, fix the mounting profile to the wall.
6
. Slide the bath wall into the mounting profile and lightly fasten it with screws and washers. Adjust the structure so that the
fixed part fully sits on the bathtub edge and so that the swinging door can move freely and will hold in place in both the open
and closed position. After making these adjustments, tighten the screws.
7.
To prevent water from leaking between the wall and the mounting profile, before final installation, silicon can be placed
on the side of the profile which will be mounted to the wall. Alternatively, after installation, silicon can be placed along the
outer seam between the wall and the profile.
To help stabilize the fixed wall we recommend the use of a special bracket which is available in either a short or long length.
8.
INSTALLATION OF THE SHORT BRACKET
The bracket must be installed in the area either over the bathtub, or away from the bathtub. Loosen the hexagonal screw
in the cylinder with the slot and mount the head on the upper aluminum profile of the fixed part of the VSK2. Place the
bracket at a 45° angle and adjust it so that the other end with the 5mm opening is fully seated against the wall. Make sure
that the bracket is level. Mark the opening on the wall. Drill an 8mm diameter hole in the center of the marked opening and
insert a dowel plug into it. Remove the bracket. Unscrew the head with the opening and mount it to the wall using the
4x40mm bolt from the assembly kit. Screw the bracket into the head so that the head with the slot can be seated into the
upper profile of the fixed bath wall. Place the wall into a vertical position and test its function. Only lightly tighten the
fastening screw so as not to damage the thin aluminum profile.
9
. INSTALLATION OF THE LONG BRACKET
The long bracket has a similar construction. It should be placed approximately 50mm from the rotating hinge on the fixed
part of the bath wall and should be placed in a horizontal position over the bathtub, towards the opposite wall. There it will
be attached using the 4x40mm bolts. The installation procedure is the same as for the short bracket. The bath wall with
the long bracket can be adjusted by screwing or unscrewing the center bolt between the mounting head and the joining
bar. This action will either shorten or lengthen the bracket.
