CONNECTING & DISCONNECTING THE GAS CYLINDER
Connecting & disconnecting LP gas supply
1. Always check that all regulator handles for the burners are in OFF position, prior to connecting
the gas supply.
2. Prior to connection, you must ensure that the gas-cylinder and regulation-valve heads, the burn-
er head, or burner ports are free of any grime.
3. Switch off the connection between cylinder and regulator when the grill is not being used.
4. Make sure that all the grill's regulator handles are in OFF position before disconnecting the gas sup-
ply.
5. Before disconnecting the gas supply, you must ensure that the the adjusting levers is set at OFF.
6. Put the dust cap on the cylinder valve when the cylinder is not in use. Never use dust caps other
than the type supplied together with the cylinder valve. The use of other dust caps or stoppers
may lead to propane gas seepage.
7. Shut off the cylinder's gas supply after use.
8. Gas cylinder: An ordinary cylinder for camping gas with a filling weight of 3.5 or 11 kg (e.g. grey
gas cylinders for camping). These can be purchased from DIY markets or cylinder-gas suppliers.
9. Pressure regulator: Predetermined and CE-approved pressure regulator, max. 1.5 kg/p with an
operational pressure that matches the gas cylinder applied. This pressure-control valve can like-
wise be purchased from your local dealer.
10. Gas tube: CE-approved tube of a suitable length that allows fitting without kinks. Should not be
longer than 1.5 m.
DANGER
To prevent the risk of fire or explosion when testing for leakage:
13. Always perform the leakage test, described on page 28, before lighting the grill and every time
the gas cylinder is connected before use.
14. Smoking and the presence of other sources of ignition are not allowed during the performance
of the leakage test.
15. The leakage test is performed outdoors in an efficiently ventilated area.
16. Never use matches, lighters, or open flame for the performance of a leakage test.
17. Do not use the grill until all leakages have been eliminated. If a leakage cannot be eliminated,
disconnect the gas supply, and call a gas service firm or your local supplier of propane gas.
