Line Voltage Selector
This selector connect the internal wiring for various line voltages.
CAUTION:
Observe and set UNE VOLTAGE SELECTOR for the correct voltage level
before operating the equipment.
Preparation and caution before measurement
1. Wait 30 seconds after turning on the meter before making a measurement.
2. The rotary switch should be set to the function which you want to use before
connecting the probes to the device being tested. Be sure to remove the test leads
from the equipment being measured before switching the rotary switch to a new
function.
Voltages measurements
1. Connect the red test to the VΩ
the "COM" terminal.
2. Set the rotary function selector to "V" position.
3. Push "AC/DC" switch to alternately select AC or DC measurement as desired, and
when selecting AC measurement, make sure "AC" annunciator is displayed on the
LCD.
4. Connect the test leads to the device to be measured.
WARNING: To avoid electrical shock, hazard or damage to meter, do not a attempt to
measure voltage that micht exceed 1000 Volt DC or 750 Volt AC. Do not
apply more than 1000 V DC or AC RMS between the common input
terminal and earth ground.
NOTE:
Unstable display may occur especially at 200 mV range, even though you
don't put tester leads into input terminals. In this cas, if an erroneous reading
is suspected, short the VΩ
sure the zero display.
Current measurement
1. Connect the red test lead to µA mA terminal and the other (black) test lead to
"COM" terminal, or use the "A" and "COM" terminal in the 10A range.
2. Set function selector rotary switch to 20 µA ~ 10 A.
3. Measurement of AC current can be performed by pushing the AC/DC switch.
4. Connect the test leads to the circuit to be measured.
NOTE:
If the current range needed is not known, star at he highest range and word down.
