3 - MACHINE DESCRIPTION
3.1 Machine Operating Cycle
The water coming from the tank by means of a vibration pump, passes through an overpressure
valve set to 12 bar (1, 2 Mpa) to refill the boiler and the heating exchanger.
A heater heats the water in the boiler, which in turn heats the water in the heating exchanger used
for making coffee. This ensures that fresh water is drawn from the heating exchanger and heated
for every cup of coffee that is made.
3.2 AromaPerfect Brewing Unit
The patented AromaPerfect brewing unit adjusts automatically to the quantity of coffee in the
portafilter. This means that the pressure is always right and the extraction quality the same re-
gardless of the amount of coffee. The coffee aroma is perfectly released and over-extraction of
the coffee is avoided.
The portafilter always slides smoothly and easily into the brewing unit – with no possibility of
tilting. The integrated stop mechanism locks the brewing unit in place at the correct angle. Pat-
ented technology reduces the pressure on the brewing unit seal – meaning less wear and lower
maintenance costs.
