SHORT CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
• A short power cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord.
• Longer, detachable power supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
• If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating should be at least as great as electrical
rating of the appliance. If the appliance is provided with a 3 wire grounded type cord, the
extension should be a GROUNDING TYPE 3-WIRE CORD.
The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The green-and-
yellow wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or
by the earth symbol or coloured green or green-and-yellow.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or
coloured red.
