Extracting tea
• Follow the first five steps in accordance with Extracting an espresso coffee.
Note: Whenever the type of drink to be extracted is altered (coffee, tea)
a purge action must be carried out. Consult "Purge" (see Page 96).
• Put a tea cup (with capacity exceeding 180 ml) on the cup tray under the
extraction nozzle (see Fig. 14).
If the cup is higher than the distance between the extraction nozzle tray, lift
up the cup tray and put the cup on the surface which supports the
coffee machine (see Fig. 16).
For further information about extraction with a tall glass, consult the "Extracting
a drink in a tall glass" chapter (see Pág. 95).
• Raise the lever to its full extent and insert a Delta Q tea capsule in the
capsule holder housing hole, in accordance with the housing silhouette.
Completely lower the lever (see Fig. 11).
• Press the tea extraction button. The luminous indicators of the espresso
and coffee extraction buttons go out. The luminous indicators of the tea
and Standby extraction buttons will remain on (see Fig. 15).
• The luminous indicator of the tea extraction button flashes (green) and the
extraction operation starts.
• During drink extraction the corresponding extraction button may be pressed
in order to stop the operation.
If you wish to extract more of the drink, press the button again.
• After extracting the amount of tea selected, the equipment stops
automatically. You are recommended to lift the lever again at the end of the
extraction process to release the capsule into the used capsule tank.
Lower the lever into its resting position (see Fig. 11).
Warning: If, during the drink preparation, there is any alert because
of a lack of water, blockage or fault in the used capsule tank, the
equipment will/must be stopped immediately.
For further information about the meaning and definition of the alerts and the
luminous alarms, consult the "Alerts and Alarms" chapter (see Page 101).
