- The measured value is displayed together with the current type symbol "DC".
When a minus "-" appears in front of the measured value when measuring
direct current, the current has the opposite direction (or the polarity of the
current probe is swapped).
- Remove the current probe from the object to be measured after completion of
the measurement and switch off the device.
Manual selection of the current type "DC":
In some situations, it is necessary to select the current type manually. This may be
required if alternating current shares are overlaid.
- Switch on the DMM. The automatic current measuring range is active at all
times.
- To set the current type to "DC" manually, push the button "A" twice. Every push
is confirmed with a beep. The display indicates "DC". The symbol "AUTO" goes
out.
- Due to the high sensitivity and the ambient magnetic field (e.g. magnetic field of
the earth, etc.), a low current value is always displayed with the current probe
closed. The display must be manually set to zero right before each measure-
ment or when the current cable is replaced.
Conduct a zero reconciliation without conductor and with the current probe
closed. For this, push the button "V" for approx. 2 seconds to activate the
"ZERO" function. A beep confirms zero reconciliation. The display is reset to
zero.
- Perform the measurement as described before.
- To reactivate the AUTO function, keep the "A" button pushed for approx. 2 sec-
onds. A beep confirms the input and "AUTO" appears in the display.
