DRY PISTON COMPRESSORS
MESTRA compressor family consists of models of 80
and 160 litres/minute. The capacity of the tank is 38 and
69 litres respectively. A dryer with automatic venting
can be connected to the two models, or a dryer and a
soundproofing cabin. They are extremely silent (sound
level below 60 dB), are simple to maintain (dry piston)
and are highly reliable. Working pressure can reach 8
bar. Supplied with two pressure gauges (tank and
working pressure), an output pressure control and a
complete set of valves for venting.
R-110300 80 L/min. Compressor
R-110310 80 L/min. compressor with dryer
R-110330 60 L/min. compressor
R-110340 160 L/min. compressor with dryer
Note: You should choose the proper type of compressor
depending on the air consumption.
Not suitable for milling centers.
HIGH RISKS
▪ This product is manufactured to high
quality standards and they are safe and fit
for purpose at time of sale, but all tools can
be dangerous if the correct precautions are
not taken.
▪ Use the compressor only for the purpose for
which it was designed.
▪ Do not attempt to use it exceeding its own
technical specifications. The manufacturer
assumes no responsibility for any damages
resulting from improper use for non-
compliance with the instructions described
in this manual.
▪ The compressor is for use by competent
persons only.
▪ In order to ensure working safety, read this
manual.
▪ Before switching the machine on, read
through these instructions carefully.
▪ Save these instructions for future reference.
▪ Warning: Shock Hazard.
▪ Disconnect the compressor from power
supply when maintaining.
▪ During operation the cooling fins of the
cylinder head and the delivery pipe will
become very hot. Even after use these will
remain hot for some time. Avoid coming
into contact with these. Do not leave
inflammable objects near the compressor.
▪ Warning: The compressor is automatic and
can start unexpectedly.
▪ Before connecting the unit ensure that the
power supply is 230 V, 50/60 Hz and
earthed.
What you must NOT do
▪ Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work area.
▪ Do not let children or pets come into contact with the
compressor, high-pressure hose, air tools, main cable
or work area.
▪ Do not use the product for excessive time periods; it
will work better and safer at the rate for which it was
intended.
▪ Never pull the compressor by the air hose or
electrical cable.
▪ Keep hose/cable away from heat and sharps edges.
▪ Do not touch the metal plug pins when connecting or
removing the electrical plug.
▪ The compressor should never be used in an area
where it could be exposed to water or excessively
damp conditions.
▪ The air receiver (tank) is made to conform to the
relevant European safety standards, and under no
circumstances should the air receiver be altered by
welding or any other means.
What you must DO
▪ Always switch off and unplug the compressor from
the power supply before carrying out any
maintenance on it. Ensure that all the compressed air
has been released from the air receiver.
▪ You must ensure that a suitably qualified person
carries out repairs and maintenance of electrical
components.
▪ High-pressure hoses, fittings and couplings are
important for the safety of the appliance. Use only
hoses, fittings and couplings designed for usage with
air compressors. If in doubt please consult the local
dealer.
▪ For safety close the pressure switch and discharge
residual pressure in the air hose before disconnecting.
▪ Use a protection device to provide protection against
electrical shock.
▪ The compressor air receiver must be discharged
before the machine is transported.

BEFORE OPERATION

▪ Before using this item check each part is undamaged.
Check all pipes are firmly connected. Inspect the air
receiver (tank) to ensure that it has not been
damaged.
▪ Save major packaging for return of product in the
event of service or repair.
▪ Before using the air compressor please check that
you have a suitable electrical supply to support the
requirements of the motor unit. Please ensure your
mains power supply corresponds to the power rating
on the data label on the machine.
▪ Ensure that all cables are damage free before
connecting to the power supply
▪ Use an extension cable, which is no more than 10
metres long and has a conductor cross-section of at
least 1.5 mm2. Using an excessively long or thin-
wired extension cable will cause severe damage to
the motor. Always fully unwind extensions cables. If
