4 – INSTALLATION OF WATERMAKER
4.1 – PREPARATION
The hull fitting and the hull valve (V0) are supplied and installed by the shipyard.
The seawater feed hull fitting (SWI) should be placed as low as possible below the water line, in an area always immersed whatever the
boat's navigation rate may be.
The hull valve (V0) should be placed on the seawater feeding pipes, as close as possible to the hull fitting.
The reject hull fitting (R) should be placed above the water line.
4.2 – PLACING THE UNIT
The Watermaker : The main module should be bolted onto a rigid surface.
Seawater intake: The through-hull must correspond to the size of the hoses, as specified in the installation diagram. The through-
hull must be installed as deep as possible, towards the middle of the boat.
The sea strainer: The sea strainer should be near to the hull valve and imperatively fully charged with seawater.
The booster pump (LP): The Low Pressure pump should be installed between the sea strainer and the 5µ filter, below the water
line with maximum 3m length of pipes (installed below the water line).
An auxiliary tank: This tank is used to perform the flushing and sterilization of the system. See "Watermaker shutdown" Chap C.
The filter 5µ: The filter should be installed below the waterline if possible, vertically on a wall, by means of the equipped support.
If necessary, it can be slightly inclined in relation to the vertical position.
4.3 – ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
- The AQUA-BASE unit is equipped with a circuit breaker ensuring its protection and security. This doesn't ensure the
protection of your installation, which should be equipped with devices conforming to the current legislation.
- No other equipment should be fed from the AQUA-BASE UNIT box.
- Check beforehand that the unit voltage corresponds with the network.
The connection of the unit is carried out on the fuse holder situated behind the electric box, by means of a section cable of at least 16 mm
respecting the indicated polarities.

4.4 – BOOSTER PUMP (LP)
The booster pump is necessary when the unit AQUA-BASE is installed over the water line.
It isn't a self-priming pump, this type of pump prohibits operation without water.
Assembling.
The booster pump must be installed below the water line (200
mm mini), between the hull valve and the filter.
The feeding wire is connected conforming to electric diagram
in ANNEXES page 51.
