STEP 8
Menu Operation – Ri e Mode
Your CXPRO Laser Range nder Binoculars include a Ri e Mode.
If you are using a ri e, choose this mode in order to see the ballistics
hold over in inches, or the required elevation adjustment value in
MOA or Milliradians.
WARNING: The ri e mode hold over in inches or the elevation
adjustment value in MOA or Milliradians is accurate from 15
to 500 yds.
This mode should not be used for taking long-range shots
at yardages over 500 yds.
For long-range shots of over 500 yds., it is recommended that
you use the Line-of-Sight Value along with the Angle Value, and
use a ballistics calculator program to calculate the hold over or
adjustment value based on the actual environmental conditions.
You can choose Standard Mode, and select the Angle option to
display both Line-of-Sight and the Angle Values.
For hunting situations, it is strongly recommended that the
user only take ethical shots based on their speci c shooting
skill level.
Please see the following menu ow and instructions for the
Ri e Mode below:
Step 1 – Select the Ri e Mode as shown in the Menu
Operation section (Step 3, Page 6).
Step 2 – The ballistics groups will start blinking rst. There are
10 ballistics groups for both a 100-yd. zero and a
200-yd. zero. Choose the ballistics group from the
included tables (in the back of this manual) that best
matches the type of ammo you are using for either a
100-yd. zero or a 200-yd. zero. The ballistics groups
are numbered: 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3-1, 3-2, 4-1, 4-2,
5-1, 5-2, 6-1, 6-2, 7-1, 7-2, 8-1, 8-2, 9-1, 9-2, 10-1,
10-2, OFF.
For example, if you see that your load is in group 2,
and if your scope is zeroed at 100 yds., then you
would press the Range/Power button until you see
2-1, then push the Mode button once to select 2-1.
Similarly, if your load falls under group 2, and your
scope is zeroed at 200 yds., then press the
Range/Power button until you see 2-2, as shown.
Press the Mode button to select 2-2.
Step 3 – After selecting the ballistic group, the hold-over/
elevation output units – MOA, MIL or INCH – will
start to blink. Press the Range/Power button to
cycle through these 3 units of measurement and
press the Mode button once to select.
Continue to page 12 to learn more about the Ri e Mode and the remaining steps – 4, 5 and 6.
