Cleaning and disinfection

 According to the cleaning and disinfection plan in the CSSD,
contaminated areas of the transfer trolley must undergo cleaning
and disinfection using a suitable cleaning and disinfecting agent.
National recommendations relating to surface disinfectant listings
and approvals, for example, must be observed.
 Take care when using process chemicals. Some agents may be
corrosive and irritant.
The relevant safety regulations and safety data sheets issued by
the process chemical manufacturers must be observed.
Wear gloves and protective goggles.
The transfer trolley can be cleaned and disinfected by machine. The
drip tray can be removed to prevent liquid from collecting in it.
Remove the hose from the drip connection in the drip tray (if

present).
Remove the drip bottle (if present) from the holder and dispose of

its contents carefully.
Remove the drip tray and use the hooks on its underside to hang it

on the transfer trolley frame.
The transfer trolley is now ready for machine reprocessing.
