The exclamation mark indicates important information in these operating instructions.
Please read all the instructions before using this device; they contain important informa-
tion on its correct operation.
The lightening symbol in a triangle warns you against unprotected live components or
elements inside the enclosure or "live" connection points. Coming into contact with
these components or connection points may be fatal.
Cables connected to such connection points may only be connected by an expert or you
must use ready-to-connect cables.
The device contains no parts that are to be serviced by the user..
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversions and/or modifi cations to the product are not permitted.
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and
appropriately qualifi ed and they must follow these operating instructions.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• The device is manufactured according to protection class 2. Only use a standard mains socket
(220-240 V/50 Hz) connected the public power supply system as the power source.
• Extra care should be taken when using the device for the fi rst time. Therefore, please follow the operating
instructions carefully.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to this device.
• Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or otherwise subjected to
mechanical strain. Avoid excess thermal stress on the mains cable due to excess heat or cold. Do not modify
the mains cable. This may damage the mains cable. A damaged mains cable can result in a life-threatening
electric shock.
• If the mains cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, switch off the appropriate mains socket (e.g. via the
respective circuit-breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the socket. Never use the product if
the mains cable is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the device from the mains, you have to remove the mains plug from the wall
socket. Just turning the device off with the on/off switch is not enough.
• Make sure there is suffi cient ventilation at the front panel during operation. Do not cover with magazines,
blankets, curtains or similar. Keep a minimum distance of approx. 15 cm to other devices.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential dangers
involved when using electrical devices.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects fi lled with liquid on top of them (e. g.
vases). You run the risk of causing a fi re or a fatal electric shock. If this is the case, de-energise the appropri-
ate socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) before unplugging from the socket. Disconnect all cables from the
device. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place naked fl ames such as burning candles on top of the device.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping water or water spray, strong vibrations or high
humidity.
• Only use the product in a moderate climate, never in tropical climates.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. They may become dangerous playthings for chil-
dren.
• Moreover, please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this operating
manual.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are not answered in
these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely connect it, consult a trained
technician.

Installation in a speaker enclosure
To ensure protection against physical contact, the device must be installed inside a
closed loudspeaker enclosure. Following installation, it must not be possible to touch
the circuit board and internal connections. Operation without such a housing is not
permitted.
Only connect loudspeakers with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohm to the loudspeaker
connection.
Do not drill extra holes or screw any extra screws for mounting purposes into the enclo-
sure. This can make contact with dangerously high voltages possible.
• Cut out an opening in the speaker enclosure to fi t the device. You need an opening of 85 x 185 mm with an
installation depth of at least 58 mm.
• Connect the speaker leads (red and black) with the speaker driver or, in the case of a multipath speaker,
with the input on the audio crossover.
Red cable = positive terminal / black cable = negative terminal
• Screw the inbuilt amplifi er module into the opening tightly. Use all the holes in the installation plate to ensure
an airtight installation.
