OPERATION
Fireproof Safe with LCD Display SFH-42EC 75 08 25
If the safe is exposed to a temperature of 1000°C for one hour, the inside temperature remains below 160°C.
OPERATION
1)
Opening with the key (manually)
Open the battery compartment (d), there is the keyhole. Insert the key and turn it to the left (anti-clockwise) to the
stop. Turn the unlocking lever (a) to the right.
2)
Inserting/exchanging the batteries
Open the battery compartment (d). Insert four R6 batteries of 1.5V (AA) observing correct polarity. The display (e)
indicates "good". We recommend to use alkaline batteries.
3)
Opening the safe after inserting the batteries
Push the "START" switch (c) and the display indicates „--------„. Then enter one of the two production codes, "0000"
or "8888" (master code), immediately and push "START". You hear a "beep", the green LED (f) lights and the display
indicates "OPEN". Turn the unlocking lever (a) within 5 seconds and the safe opens.
Note: If you do not want the code to be displayed, push "START" twice. Any other operating steps remain the same.
4)
Programming the code
ATTENTION! The safe can be programmed in two code levels (e.g. for hotels):
Master code: is usually programmed by the hotel, in case the guest forgets his/her individual code.
Individual code: is programmed by the guest only.
Programming "individual code"
a.
Push the red switch (b) and you hear a "beep". The display indicates "SET Code".
b.
Enter a 3- to 8-digit number of your choice and confirm with "START". A "beep" follows and the display indicates
"IN" and your entered number. Your new code is confirmed.
Programming "master code"
a.
Push the red switch (b). A "beep" follows. Push "START". The display indicates "oLd CodE" and then „--------„.
b.
Enter the production code "8888" and then push "START". The display indicates "SET" and then „--------
„.(flashing).
c.
Now enter a 3- to 8-digit number of your choice for the master code and push "START". The display indicates
"rE-InPUT" and then „--------„.(flashing).
d.
Re-confirm your new master code and push "START". A "beep" follows and the display indicates "IN" and the
number is indicated in the display again. Your new code is confirmed.
In case you or another person uses the wrong combination, the red LED (g) lights and the display indicates
"Error".
If a wrong combination has been entered four times in a row, the display indicates "Error" and there is an alarm
sound for approx. 3 minutes.
The correct code can only be entered after approx. 3 minutes. During this time, however, you can open the safe
with the key (see item 6) and turn off the alarm sound by pushing the red switch (b).
5)
Warning – exchange batteries
In order to test the batteries push "START". If the batteries are too weak, the display indicates
"Lo-BAE" and you should replace them by new ones.
6)
Manual opening (in the battery compartment)
If you have forgotten both combinations, you can open the safe by hand with the key.
Remove the batteries from the compartment (d). Insert the key into the keyhole and turn it to the left (anti-clockwise)
to the stop. Then turn the unlocking lever (a) to the right. The safe is open.
