EASY MEDIA CREATOR
CAUTION
1 GB of free space on the hard disk is needed to install all the components of
EASY MEDIA CREATOR.
Close all other software application before running the Setup program for EASY
MEDIA CRAETOR for added safety.
Log on to Windows with the administrator authority.
NOTE
Depending on the computer, preparatory steps may be necessary before installa-
tion. Before installing the application, be sure to read the Operating Instructions
or Reference Manual of the computer.

Installation
1 Insert the drive into the multimedia pocket. (
2 Set the Utility Disc in the drive.
3 At [Utility Setup tool] screen, select [Easy Media Creator Setup].
<When the [Utility Setup tool] is not run automatically>
Windows XP
In [start] - [Run], input [x:\setuputil] and select [OK].
Windows 2000
In [Start] - [Run], input [x:\setuputil] and select [OK].
("x" is the drive letter. You can change the letter to suit your preference.)
4 Select your language at [Choose Setup Language], then select [OK].
Follow the on-screen instructions.
During the installation, you will be required to agree the License Agreement. After
reading the agreement, select [I accept the terms in the license agreement], then select
[Next].
5 Select [Finish].
A message appears advising that the computer must be restarted. Select [Yes].

When the installation completes, remove the Utility Disc from the drive.
Select
① Select [Advanced Eject Settings], and select [UDF version on current disc] in
[Nonrewritable Media] and [Rewritable Media].
② Select [OK].
③ Select [OK].
The above settings are required to use discs containing data written using Drag-to-
Disc with Roxio's DirectCD5 which has been installed on another computer.
