Thank you for purchasing the Elephant HelioKit
HS10 electric fence energizer with integrated solar
panel.
A simple and effective aid to keep dogs and cats in
or out of your garden or yard.
A few of the Elephant HelioKit HS10

solar energy, the solar panel contributes to the
longevity of the batteries.
• Comes with an integrated stand which also
functions as earthing pin.
• 18V electric fence energizer, operates on (2x)
9 Volt Alkaline block battery (see Battery use).
Manual for first use of Elephant
HelioKit HS10
1. Battery use
Battery type:
2 x 9 Volt type, 6R61, MX1604, MN1604, F22, 6F22
Battery size: 48.5 x 26.5 x 17.5 mm (not included)
Caution!
To ensure correct functioning and preservation of
the energizer it is important to use the correct type
of battery.
To ensure correct functioning and longevity of
your energizer, Elephant recommends 9V Duracell
Alkaline UltraPower (MX1604) or 9V Duracell
Alkaline PowerPlus (MN1604) batteries.
Always use new, freshly charged batteries when
using the energizer for the first time.

Set the ON/OFF switch to
the OFF position.
Remove the locking clip on
the backside of the case by
sliding it sideways.
Carefully tip the cover with
the solar panel forward
from the underneath. Take
caution with the solar panel
wires.
Remove the cover from
the base plate. Take cau-
tion with the solar panel
wires so that they remain
connected to the base
plate!
Insert 2 x *9 Volt block
batteries into the battery
compartment with the
(snap) contacts facing
upward. Connect both snap
connectors to the batteries.
Mind the Positive
Negative poles. (*See
chapter 1. Battery use)
Place the cover with the
solar panel back onto the
base plate and slide the
locking clip back into the 2
slots on the backside of the
base plate.
Using the 2 integrated
bolts, install the case on the
supplied stand, this stand
also functions as an earth-
ing pin for your energizer.
Do not forget to install the
earthing wire included on
the stand (see Earthing).
3. Earthing
Integrated stand and earthing pin
The stand included also functions as an earth-
ing pin for the Elephant HelioKit HS10. Use the
included earthing wire to connect the stand to the
energizer (the earthing wire is pre-installed on the
left blue connector with the

fasten it firmly with the wing nut. Insert the stand
at least 50 cm deep into the ground. If you want
to use the Elephant HelioKit HS10 on an insulated
surface or wooden fence, you will need to use
an additional earthing pin or a positive/negative
electric fence.
