1 - PRINCIPLE
The CDF 9 booster allows to feed one or several DC brakes directly from the AC power supply. Two functions are integrated in
the sequence.
A 1s over voltage time is applied on the electromagnets of the brake to ensure a fast response time. Then this voltage is reduced
sufficiently to ensure the brake to stay on position and to reduce the heating of the coils.

4 - MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
• The CDF 9 module is intended to be mounted in an enclosure which prevents access except by trained and
authorised personnel and which prevents the ingress of contamination.
• It is designed for use in an environment classified as pollution degree 2 in accordance with IEC 60664-1. This
means that only dry, non conducting contamination is acceptable.

The DIN rail mounting mechanism has been designed so no tools are required to install the module.
5 - ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The voltages used in the module can cause severe electric shock and/or burns, and could be lethal. Extreme care is necessary at
all times when working with or adjacent to the module.
The CDF 9 module is intended as a component for professional incorporation into complete equipment or system.
System design, installation, commissioning and maintenance must be carried out by personnel who have the necessary training
and experience.

6 - MAINTENANCE
The CDF 9 module does not request any specific maintenance.
