2.5 OBU Settings
In this menu the user can define the behavior of the product.
The settings will only become effective at the next connection of T.36 Pulsar
(see chapter "2.1 Overview").
2.5.1 DAILY WAKE-UPS
The device connects to the GSM telephone network from one to twenty-four
times a day to handle any requests that are sent to it by the Meta Trak Pulsar
mobile app.
When the device is connected to the GSM telephone network it will be able
to respond to user commands, provide its position, activate or deactivate the
"Search mode" to allow its location in any case.
WARNING: In order to change the reference time of the programmable daily
wake-ups disconnect the product for more than 3 minutes and then reinsert
the batteries at the preferred time. On the main screen, the time for the next
connection will be updated.
WARNING: More device connections per day allow the user to query the T.36
Pulsar more frequently but in this way the life time of the batteries is reduced.
Setting one connection per day preserves battery life!
2.5.2 DISPATCH SCHEDULE
T.36 Pulsar will give autonomous positions according to the functional settings.
To preserve the batteries life you can also decide to never receive autonomous
