How to use your subwoofer
Connection to your amplifier
Note : It is usually preferable to use the Line input to connect your subwoofer. This will guarantee the best performances. The
use of the speaker terminal will still give you excellent quality.
Depending on your amplifier and configuration, there are 2 ways to connect your subwoofer:
If you are using an Audio/vidéo amplifier, use an RCA Cinch male/male cable (a mono cable is sufficient).
Connect theamplifier 's subwoofer RCAoutpu to the red RCAinput of the wireless transmitter
If you are using your subwoofer in a triphonic system: connect the speaker 's output of the amplifier to
your main speakers and to the wireless transmitter 's high level input. Plug the right output to the R+
and R- and the left output to the L+ and L- connectors. In this configuration, you should adjust the
subwoofer's level and the frequency cut off to the main speakers.
NOTE
: it is also possible to use the subwoofer without the wireless transmitter. In this case, follow the
previous instructions but connect directly to the subwoofer.
Where to place your subwoofer?
The Titan Micro is a wireless subwoofer. This allows you to put it easily in the best possible place in your listening room.
The installation of the subwoofer can have an influence on the sound quality. Put in the wrong place, the subwoofer can
create a very high level of resonances in your roomwith spectacular differences of sound level from one place to
another: the sound will be very high near the walls and in the corners but it will be very low in the middle of the room.
The location of the subwoofer must thus be selected carefully. The best solution will be be to put it in front near the
central speaker and not too close to a wall. In any case, avoid any corner of the room. This will increase the level of the
resonances and will produce a muffled sound without any subtlety.
Turn on the subwoofer
NOTE:
make sure that the volume is turned down before first use.
First, plug in the subwoofer and switch it on.
After a few seconds, the LED turns blue confirming that the subwoofer is on.
NOTE
:If the subwoofer turns itself off while you are watching a movie, reduce the volume of teh Micro and compensate by
increasing the level of he subwoofer on your audio/video amplifier.
The Titan Micro uses an automatic device to turn off the subwoofer if it is not used for a certain time (cut off
of internal power supply). The Micro switch itself off if no sound is received for 5 minutes (LED turns to
red).
