Set up

The Titan Micro uses an advanced electronic controller that will avoid any saturation problem even at high level. This
will allow you to use it to the best of its capacities.
For maximum enjoyment from your subwoofer, the Titan Micro offers several set up options that can be changed from
your remote control.

Sound level

Use the volume + and – from your remote.

Preset programs

For convenient use of your subwoofer, the Titan Micro offers 4 pre programmed automatic set
up :
Night: automatically limits the sound level of the lowest frequencies for a controlled use in the
evening.
Cinema : Optimized for movie soundtracks. Boosts low frequencies for enhanced sound effect reproduction.
Music : optimized for a more natural sound when listening to music.
Boost : Maximum boost of the bass frequencies for maximum performance.
Frequency Cut off
This function allows you to select the maximum frequency level that the subwoofer can reach. At
this point, the main speakers will replace the Titan Micro.
Use « Frequency » on your remote control to increase or decrease the cut off frequency.
NOTE: this function is often available directly on your audio/video amplifier.
The frequency cut off level should depend on the capacity of your main speakers to go down in the bass frequencies.
The smaller speakers (bookshelves) will be more limited.In this configuration, the subwoofer should take over at a
higher frequency. The cut off frequency should be lower with bigger speakers ( floorstanders).

Phase selection

Once the Titan Micro is installed in your room, you can adjust the pahase. 2 positions are available:
0° :The subwoofer is in phase with the electric signal coming from your amplifier
180° : the subwoofer is out of phase.
The best for the phase will be subjective. The best solution is the one that will deliver the most bass..

Mute

Press mute to cut off the sound of the Titan Micro.

A few tips for set up

If you are using an audio/video amplifier, you can set the volume level of the subwoofer by pressing « Test
tone ». Adjust the sound level to be similar to the other speakers of your Home theatre system.
Regarding the frequency cut off, it is generally recommended to set it to maximum and control this option directly
from the amplifier, if possible.
Finally, a simple solution is to use the audio tests available on some DVDs and Blurays certified THX. This will
allow a fine tuning of your system.
