Installation Steps
Mark the installation location with a pencil. Drill the holes using the included drill bit. Remove the burrs from the
edges of the holes with a round file. Insert the cables with sensors in the holes in the bumper.
6.5. Connection (fig. 13)
The system is powered by the reversing lights (see fig. 13 below). Use the enclosed cable clips to connect the
system's power cable easily and perfectly with that of reversing lights. Refer to fig. 14 below.
Put the key in the ignition and turn the ignition to ON. Shift into reverse and double-check the +12V power cable of
reversing light with a voltage test screwdriver or a multimeter, then turn off the power.
Connect the system's red power cable to the +12V power cord of the reversing light with a cable clip. Connect the
system's black power cable to the ground cable of the reversing light with a cable clip.
7. Final Tests
7.1. Detection Test
Place an obstacle of ± 1m high at 80 to 100cm behind the rear bumper of your vehicle. Turn the ignition to ON and
put the car in reverse. The system should start to beep automatically or display the distance to and the direction of
the obstacle. Test the installed sensors individually.
7.2. Warning Test
Place an obstacle of ±50 x 50cm at 80 to 100cm behind the rear bumper of your car. Turn the ignition to ON and put
the car in reverse. The system should start to beep automatically or display the distance to and the direction of the
obstacle. Vary the distance of the obstacle to the vehicle by moving it forwards and backwards. The system should
now beep at different intervals and meanwhile display the distance to and the direction of the obstacle. Move the
obstacle left and right: again, the system should beep automatically and display the distance to and the direction of
the obstacle.
