Never exceed the maximum fi ll level. If the kettle is overfi lled,

boiling water could escape from the pouring spout and the base
station and mains connecting cable could become wet.
Use the kettle only with the base station provided. Do not use
■
the base station with other devices.
Do not make any modifi cations to the device. Also do not re-
■
place the mains connecting cable yourself. If the kettle, the base
station or the mains connecting cable are damaged, they must
be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service department
or a specialist workshop in order to avoid any hazards.
The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer
■
or a separate remote control system.

Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate the device in rooms
with high humidity.
■
Should the base station fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do
not attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
Have the base station and the kettle checked in a specialist workshop before using
it again.
■
Never touch the base station and the mains connecting cable with wet hands when
these components are connected to the mains power.
■
Take the kettle off the base station to fi ll it, pour water or clean it. Make sure that no
water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle.
WARNING – Danger of Fire

Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or explosive substances.
■
Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. Do not place any
combustible materials (e. g. cardboard, paper or plastic) on or in the device.

Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
■
Do not use any extension cables.
■
Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re.
WARNING – Danger of Injury

Keep children and animals away from plastic bags and fi lms. There is a danger of
suffocation.
■
Make sure that the mains connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of small
children and animals. There is a danger of strangulation.
