4. Emergency stop button
If the emergency stop button is activated, the drive is immediately disconnected from the power supply. Further
door movement is only possible when the emergency stop button has been released. The fault display flashes to
indicate that the emergency stop button has been pressed.
5. Keyswitch for setting "half opening height" - only WSTE 1000
The half opening height function (partial opening) can be switched on using the keyswitch. The keyswitch must be
turned 90° to the right. If partial opening is set, the drive switches off when limit switch S8 is reached (green switch-
ing cam). Programming for partial opening is performed as described under the point "Setting the special function
switches" (page 7).
Relay outputs
1. Inside traffic light
A red or red-green traffic light can be connected to the Traffic light 1 terminals (WSTE 500 or WSTE 1000 wiring
diagram). The traffic light is red when the door is closed or moving. When the door has reached the upper final
position, the traffic light changes to green. The red traffic light then goes out.
2. Outside traffic light (only WSTE 1000)
A red or red-green traffic light can be connected to the Traffic light 2 terminals (WSTE 1000 wiring diagram). In
conjunction with Traffic light 1 (inside), both traffic lights operate in the "two-way traffic control" function.
Please note that the two-way traffic control can only function if the external commands are allocated
correctly (distinction between UP command from outside/UP command from inside).

N
The WSTE 500 / WSTE 1000 are equipped with 2 or 4 switching relays. In the standard programme versions (V47...
for pneumatic safety edge with pressure testing and V56... for electrical safety edge) the relays behave as follows:
G
a) Simple traffic light TRAFFIC LIGHT1 (WSTE 500), two-way traffic light TRAFFIC LIGHT1 and TRAFFIC LIGHT2
L
(WSTE 1000).
b) Door status (POT1 for WSTE 500 and POT2 for WSTE 1000) always switches "ON" when the door leaves the
I
lower final position.
S
c) Automatic illumination impulse (only WSTE 1000), in the case of UP movement from the lower final position, a
short switching impulse is given (recognisable by illumination of the "Function 1" LED on the front of the WSTE
H
1000).
The WSTE 500 and WSTE 1000 wiring diagrams show the connections to the function relays. Further functions are
possible on request.
4. Power supply for external safety devices
The power supply for external safety devices can be connected to the "+" and "-" terminals (control input terminal
sequence).
U = 24V, I
= 100mA.

LED displays
1. Fault / Safety stop
The LEDs display the existing fault by means of various flashing pulses. (See "Error code" table, page 13).
2. Safety stop, pressure contact tested
When the door reaches the pre-limit switch S7 (orange cam), the safety stop LED illuminates on the front of the
control. When positive testing has occurred, the display goes out (see also "The function of the pneumatic safety
edge").
3. Reclosing feature
If the reclosing feature has been activated, the "Function 1" LED illuminates on the WSTE 500 control. In the case of
WSTE 1000 activation of the reclosing feature is indicated by the "Reclosing" LED (see "Reclosing release" function
description).
4. Special function LEDs
Function 1 LED - Only WSTE 1000
Function 2 LED - Only WSTE 1000
Illumination of these LEDs is programme-dependent (see above).
