7. Transport and storage

Warning! Set the Start/stop switch (no. 11)
to "Stop"
during transportation of the generator.
Always keep the
generator horizontal to avoid fuel leakage.
Fuel vapours or
spilled fuel can catch fire. Set the tank cover
ventilation and
the fuel cock to "OFF".
The tilting angle of the device should never be more than 15°!
Preparation for long-term decommissioning / storage of device:
1. Make sure that the storage area is free from excess humidity and dust.
2. Drain the fuel:
Turn the fuel cock to "OFF". Remove the fuel hose from the fuel cock. Turn the
fuel cock to "ON" and fill the fuel in a suitable container using a funnel. After the
fuel tank has been completely emptied, shift the fuel hose back to the outlet of
the fuel cock.
▪ Loosen the drain screw of the carburettor and empty the
residual fuel from the carburettor (no. 26) into a suitable
container.
,
3. Unscrew the spark plug and pour ca. 20 ml of engine oil
into the spark plug hole. Carefully pull the pull-cord
starter until you can feel resistance. At this point, the pis-
ton is raised during the compression stroke, the inlet and
outlet valves are closed and a little oil is distributed in
the engine. Storing the engine in this position prevents
corrosion in the interior of the device.
