Installation of the ball joint:
1.)
Remove the plug (C) from the receiver (B).
Insert the ball joint (A) into the receiver (B) making sure that the holes in the ball joint and receiver are
aligned.
2.)
Insert the pin (E) from the side through the hole (J), the receiver (B) and the ball joint (A) until the secure
hole (F) is visible. Now turn the pin (E) into the direction of the arrow (M) with the help of the handle (H)
until the ball joint (A) sits firmly in the receiver (B).
3.)
Now insert the hair pin cotter (G) through the secure hole (F).
4.)
Pull the handle (H) until the limit stop in the direction of the arrow (K) (free-wheel) and simultaneously
rotate it in the direction of the lock (L). Now allow the handle (H) to engage in the lock (L), thus
preventing the handle (H) from rotating.
Always remove the hair pin cotter (G) prior to regulating the tension of the system and replace it once
this task has been completed, since the inserted hair pin cotter (G) can be damaged by the bolts when
tightening pin (E).
Removal of the ball joint:
1.)
Pull the hair pin cotter (G) out of the secure hole (F).
2.)
Pull the handle (H) out of the lock (L) until the limit stop in the direction of the arrow (K) (free-wheel) and
simultaneously rotate it. Turn the pin (E) with the help of the handle (H) until the ball joint (A) is released
from the receiver (B).
3.)
Extract the pin (E) from the receiver (B) and the ball joint (A) with the help of the handle (H).
4.)
Remove the ball joint (A) from the receiver (B).
5.)
Insert the plug (C) into the receiver (B).
6.)
Stow the ball joint in a safe place in the boot of the vehicle and protect it against dirt
