4. What to do in case of an accident

4.1. In case a canister is overturned
Stand the canister upright immediately.
If the canister has been overturned for several minutes, you
must ventilate the premises, for example by opening a
window.
Do not induce any flames or sparks,
Leave the premises at least 1/2 h
If the portable canister is tipped over in a motorized vehicle:
- switch off the engine,
- ask all passengers to leave the vehicle,,
- Thoroughly ventilate the vehicle before continuing travel

4.2. In case of liquid oxygen spray
In eyes:
- Wash eye(s) copiously with water for at least 15 minutes.
- Call a physician.
On skin :
-Do not rub. Remove or loosen clothing if necessary.
Defrost affected parts by moderate warming (with warm
water, if possible, otherwise by placing them against an-
other warm part of the body).
- Call a physician.
Probable causes
1 Flow rate selector knob badly po-
sitioned
2 Canister is empty
3 Defective tube(s)
4 Inhalation device defective (can-
nula, ...)
5 Humidifier (or outlet nipple) ob-
structed or leaking
• Portable canister not completely
full
• Portable misconnected to the main
canister
• Blocks of ice gathered on the sta-
tionary canister filler opening
• stationary canister filler opening
frozen

Remedies
1 Turn the knob to the correct position.
2 Check level. If canister is empty :
- for portable canister, fill it,
- for stationary canister, call your distribu-
tor.
3 Disconnect the tube. If flow is restored,
check the tube (leak, kink or obstruction).
Replace it if necessary.
4 Disconnect inhalation device from tube.
If flow is restored, check inhalation de-
vice.
Replace it if necessary.
5 Unscrew humidifier (or outlet nipple). If
flow is restored, check that humidifier is
not obstructed.
Check that the humidifier seal is correctly
placed and in good condition. Correctly
handtighten humidifier bottle.
Wait for hissing sound du to escaping
gas to change before lifting vent lever.
Immediately reconnect the 2 canisters
then disconnect them. If leakage conti-
nues, reconnect them and contact your
distributor
preventive : dry the filling outlets before
each connection.
Wait for a few minutes warming up the try
again to disconnect the portable cani-
ster.
