INTRODUCTION
The TEK 150 is a 4 channel, 150 watt keyboard combo.
The four channels are identical except for Channel 4 has an additional low impedance balanced microphone input.
The 150 watt bipolar power output stage drives into a 300 watt 15" Celestion speaker and, a 150 watt Fostex high frequency horn, via
an acoustically matched 2nd order crossover network.

Input
A single jack socket is provided per channel for connection to musical instruments. These are high impedance inputs which allow
perfect matching to keyboards, sequencers, samplers, drum machines, etc.
The input section for each of the channels uses field effect transistors (FET). The gain of these FET's, and therefore the sensitivity of
the input has been set so that with low to medium signal levels (-20dBu to -3dBu) the signal is unaltered, at higher levels (0dB plus)
the natural soft clipping of the FET's start to occur. This can be used to add a valve like warmth to Hammond sounds, or to take the
harsh edge out of some modern synth presets.
The output level of the instrument should therefore be set high if this effect is desired or lower if you want the signal to remain clean.
Aux
This switch allows the user to determine whether or not the corresponding channel is routed through the auxiliary circuit (effects
loop). This is explained further below.
Level
This sets the post e.q. signal level of the corresponding channel that goes to the channel mixing section just prior to the 'MASTER'
output level. It also sets the signal level sent to the auxiliary send, if selected.
This control should not be set so high that it causes clipping distortion later on in the preamp, however this is only ever likely to
occur if the input signal from the instrument is very high (over 0dBu).
Bass & Treble
The 2 way equalisation circuit is a Baxandall feedback, shelving type e.q. circuit.
With both the controls at 12 o'clock the e.q. circuit is flat.
The Bass control gives ±14dB boost/cut at 100Hz and ±20dB boost/cut at 20Hz.
The Treble control gives a ±12dB boost/cut at 10KHz and ±17dB boost/cut at 20KHz.
