WATER VALVE AND DETERGENT FILTERS
ATTENTION: Check the condition of the filters before investigating other faults.
FILTER INSPECTION AND CLEANING
Inspect the water filter for dirt or debris, etc. Clean or replace the filter as necessary.
To clean the water filter:
• Wash the strainer in clean water.
• If possible, use compressed air to assist in removing any blockages. For detergent strainers, blow air into the
strainer from where it connects to the tube.
FILTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
To remove filters:
1. Place the machine in a horizontal position on a flat, level surface.
2. For the water inlet filter, remove (turn counterclockwise) the water valve adapter from the pump valve
connector.
3. Pull the water filter from inside the pump valve connector.
4. For the detergent filter, remove the detergent tank cap, then pull the detergent inlet tube out of the tank.
5. The detergent filter is located at the end of the tube, to remove it, twist it and pull it from the end of the
tube.
To install filters:
1. For the water inlet filter, return it to the water inlet pump connector. Make sure you put it back with the
conical part in the same direction as when you removed it.
2. Replace (turn clockwise) the water valve adapter.
3. For the detergent filter, press the filter down firmly on the detergent inlet tube.
4. Put the tube back into the detergent tank, it should stay along the base of the fuel tank, and put the
detergent tank cap back in.
FUEL FILTER OR SIFTER
ATTENTION: If the fuel filter no longer meets its function, replace it.
FUEL FILTER OR SIFTER INSPECTION AND CLEANING
Check the fuel filter for dirt, debris, etc. Clean or replace the fuel filter as necessary.
To clean the fuel filter:
• Clean the filter with a clean solvent.
• If possible, use compressed air to facilitate cleaning of any blockages.
TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE FUEL FILTER OR SIFTER
To remove the fuel filter:
1. Place the machine horizontally on a flat, level surface with the fuel filler cap facing up.
2. Remove the fuel filler cap by turning it to the left.
3. Pull the filter from the tank filler opening.
To reset the filter:
1. Place the fuel filter in the fuel tank filler port. If other parts are used, make sure everything is properly
installed.
2. Replace the fuel cap.
