This appliance is for private use only and must not be used commercially. Please read
the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is
given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too.
Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to
the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which
are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.
Safety information:

Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on
the rating label.

Do not use if the power cord is damaged. This must be checked before each use.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote control system.
∙
After each use or in the case of a malfunction the plug must be pulled out of the
socket.

Never pull at the power cord. Do not chafe it over sharp edges or squeeze it.

Keep the power cord away from hot parts.
∙
Never leave the appliance unattended when operating.
∙
Never store the appliance outdoors or in a damp area.

Never immerse the appliance in water.

Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged, e.g. it fell down, or it is damaged in

Repairs at the appliance, e,g, exchange of a damaged power cord, must only be

Do not place the appliance on a sensitive surface (e.g. painted furniture) and

Only transport after cooling down. During the use the temperature of the
touchable surfaces can get very high.

Danger of foam:
Never put egg, milk, cream or similar to the rice. Else there could be foam during
cooking.
Working place:
Important: The appliance must never be placed on or next to a hot surface (e.g. hot
plate). The appliance must only be used on a flat, stable and temperature resisting
surface. It must be taken care that there are no inflammable things near to the appli-
ance.
Due to the escaping steam it must be taken care that there is no damage to any woo-
den cupboards hanging over the appliance.
Cleaning before the first use:
∙
All accessories and the inner pot should be removed and cleaned with a mild deter-
gent.
∙
Dry all parts carefully.
∙
Clean the lid and the outer housing with a damp cloth
Cooking rice:
Never use rice bags, only put loose rice in the cooking pot. The rice should be cleaned
with cold water in a sieve and put them into the inner pot. (At minimum use two
measuring cups rice, at maximum use 10 cups)
Never put liquids or rice in the outer pot /housing.
Place the inner pot into the appliance. It must be ensured that no rice corn sticks
to the heating plate or to the pot button, as this will have a negative effect on the
control.
Turn the pot slightly to the left and the right that there is a sufficient contact to the
heating plate and the thermostat.
Put the food into the inner pot according to the measuring scale at the side of the
inner pot. Some spices, e.g. Chilly, can be added to the water.
