INSTALLAZIONE ED USO
Il modello C150-HF è un diffusore a due vie accordato in bass-refl ex in grado
di riprodurre una gamma di frequenze molto ampia con buona uniformità.
Questo diffusore è stato concepito prevalentemente come sistema portatile
e dispone pertanto di quattro piedini antivibranti in gomma e di una comoda
maniglia per il trasporto integrata nella parte superiore. È possibile utilizzare il
diffusore appoggiandolo sul pavimento (o su un piano suffi cientemente stabile)
o montandolo, utilizzando l'apposito accessorio AC930 (opzionale), su un'asta
microfonica PASO B102 (opzionale); l'adattatore AC930 deve essere avvitato a
fondo negli appositi fori posti nella parte inferiore del diffusore (vedi fi gura 2.5).
Per un'installazione di tipo fi sso (a parete o a soffi tto) si consiglia di utilizzare il
supporto a snodo AC904 (opzionale) per il quale il diffusore è predisposto (vedi
fi g. 2.2). In alternativa, per il montaggio a soffi tto, è disponibile anche il kit
AC916 (vedi fi g. 2.4). Si consiglia di abbinare questo diffusore ad amplifi catori
con potenza compresa tra i 30 e i 150 Watt.
L'impiego di amplifi catori di potenza nominale superiore a quella dei diffusori
ad esso collegati consente di pilotare questi ultimi alla loro massima potenza in
modo indistorto.
La collocazione di un qualsiasi diffusore può infl uire notevolmente sulla sua
timbrica:
•
posizionando un diffusore su un'asta di sostegno si ottiene la timbrica più
neutra, priva cioè di particolari colorazioni.
•
avvicinando un diffusore al pavimento o a ridosso di una parete la gamma
bassa risulterà enfatizzata.
•
posizionando un diffusore nell'angolo tra pareti e pavimento (o soffi tto) si
ottiene una notevole esaltazione della gamma medio-bassa.
Note di sicurezza nel caso sia necessario montare il diffusore sospeso
occorre che siano verifi cate da personale qjualifi cato, le seguenti condizioni:
1.
Resistenza e tenuta della struttura portante.
2.
Resistenza e tenuta dei sistemi d'aggancio della struttura e al diffusore.
I sistemi e gli accessori d'aggancio devono essere controllati periodicamente .
La Paso declina ogni responsabilità in caso di danni a cose e/o persone
derivarti dall'inosservanza delle raccomandazioni sopra indicate.
2.
CONNESSIONI
Il diffusore C150-HF deve essere collegato a linee di amplifi cazione a
bassa impedenza (il valore nominale è di 8 ohm). Si consiglia di utilizzare
per il collegamento all'amplifi catore cavi di buona qualità dotati di una
generosa sezione. Per il collegamento sono disponibili sia una morsettiera
a molla (per conduttori fi no ad un Ø max. di 2,5 mm), particolare [A]
di fi gura 2.3, sia una presa jack standard da 6,3 mm, particolare [B] di
fi gura 2.3; i contatti della morsettiera e della presa jack sono in parallelo
tra loro. Al contatto relativo alla punta del jack corrisponde il terminale
positivo; utilizzando una spina jack stereo (spina dotata di tre terminali) il
terminale relativo all'anello centrale non deve essere utilizzato. È possibile
utilizzare contemporaneamente la morsettiera e la presa jack per effettuare
collegamenti in parallelo tra più diffusori; assicurarsi in questo caso che
l'amplifi catore sia in grado di pilotare il carico risultante dal parallelo dei
diffusori: 4 ohm per due diffusori, 2 ohm per quattro diffusori ecc..
Prima di collegare o scollegare il diffusore all'amplifi catore
assicurarsi che quest'ultimo risulti spento onde evitare possibili
danneggiamenti.
Per il collegamento a linee di distribuzione a tensione costante occorre
installare all'interno del diffusore il traslatore di linea TM106-I (opzionale).
Questa operazione deve essere effettuata da personale tecnico qualifi cato.
Di seguito è riportata la procedura di montaggio del traslatore TM106-I
(fi gure 2.1 - 2.3 - 2.6):
1.
rimuovere le sei viti di fi ssaggio [C] del fondello posteriore [D] e aprire
il diffusore.
2.
rimuovere i due ponticelli [E] dal circuito prese [F].
3.
rimuovere le due piastrine e le relative viti di fi ssaggio [G].
4.
fi ssare il traslatore [H] utilizzando le due viti e le due piastrine
precedentemente rimosse.
5.
effettuare i collegamenti tra il circuito prese [F] e il trasformatore [H]
secondo lo schema di fi g. 2.1; raccogliere i cavetti del trasformatore
con una fascetta o un pezzo di nastro adesivo per evitare che possano
toccare la membrana dell'altoparlante.
6.
richiudere il diffusore fi ssando il fondello posteriore [D] con le sei viti
[C] precedentemente rimosse.
Il diffusore è ora pronto per essere collegato ad una linea di distribuzione
a tensione costante del valore corrispondente a quello scelto effettuando il
collegamento del traslatore di linea.

INSTALLATION AND USE
The model C150-HF speaker is a bass-refl ex tuned two-way speaker capable
of reproducing a very wide range of frequencies with a good degree of
uniformity. It has been designed mainly as a portable system, and it therefore
has four rubber feet to prevent vibrations and a practical handle for carrying
it incorporated in the top. It is possible to use the speaker either placing it
on the ground (or on any other suffi ciently stable surface) or mounting it on
a PASO B102 microphone rod (optional) by means of the special accessory,
item AC930 (optional). The AC930 adapter has to be screwed completely
into the holes provided for this purpose underneath the speaker (see Figure
2.5). For installation in a fi xed position (wall or ceiling mounting), use of the
special jointed support, item AC904 (optional), which can be fi tted to the
speaker is recommended (see Figure 2.2). The AC916 Kit is also available for
ceiling mounting (see Figure 2.4). It is also recommended that this speaker be
combined with amplifi ers having an output power of between thirty and one
hundred and fi fty Watts.
Use of amplifi ers with a higher rated output than that of the speakers
connected to them makes it possible to drive them at their full capacity without
introducing distortions.
The position in which every loudspeaker is placed may affect its tone-colour
performance to a considerable effect, as follows:
•
The tone-colour obtained when a speaker is positioned on a supporting
rod is the most neutral, that is to say with no special colours.
•
The nearer a speaker is positioned to the fl oor or against a wall, the more
the bass range will be stressed.
•
If a speaker is placed in a corner between the walls and the fl oor (or ceiling),
the middle to bass range will be exalted to a considerable extent.
Safety notes Should it be necessary to install the speaker system in a
hanging position, the following conditions will have to be checked by qualifi ed
personnel:
1.
Strengh and resistance of the weight-bearing structure.
2.
Strengh and resistance of the systems for hocking up the structure and
the speaker system.
The hooking systems and their accessories must be checked periodically.
Paso S.p.A. cannot accept any liability in the event of damage or injury
caused by failure to comply with the recommendations given above.

CONNECTIONS
The C150-HF speaker has to be connected to low-impedance amplifi cation
lines (the rated value is 8 Ohms). It is advisable to use good quality cables
with a more than suffi cient diameter for the connection to the amplifi er. Both
a spring-type terminal strip (for leads with a diameter up to a maximum of
2.5 mm) – detail [A] in Figure 2.3 - and a standard 6.3 mm jack – detail
[B] in Figure 2.3 - are provided for making the connection. The contacts of
the terminal and of the jack are connected in parallel to one another. The
contact of the tip of the jack corresponds to the positive terminal. If a stereo
jack (plug with three terminals) is employed, the terminal referred to the
central ring must not be used. It is possible to use the terminal strip and the
jack at the same time to make parallel connections between more than one
speaker. In this case, make sure that the amplifi er is able to drive the load
resulting from parallel operation of the speakers: 4 ohm for two speakers, 2
ohm for four speakers, and so on.
Before connecting the speaker to the amplifi er or disconnecting
it, make sure that the amplifi er has been turned off, otherwise
damage may occur.
For connection to constant-voltage distribution lines, it is necessary to install
a TM106-I line transformer (optional) inside the speaker. This must be
done by specialised technical personnel. The procedure for mounting the
TM106-I transformer is given below (fi gures 2.1 - 2.3 - 2.6):
1.
Remove the six fi xing screws [C] from the rear bottom panel [D] and
open the speaker.
2.
Remove the two jumpers [E] from the outlet circuit [F].
3.
Remove the two small plates and their fi xing screws [G].
4.
Secure the transformer [H] in place using the two screws and the two
small plates removed as above.
5.
Make the connections between the outlet circuit [F] and the transformer
[H] as shown in the diagram of Figure 2.1. Secure the transformer
leads together with a fastener or a piece of adhesive tape to make
sure that they cannot touch the membrane of the loudspeaker.
6.
Close the speaker again, securing the rear bottom panel [D] with the
six screws [C] removed above.
The speaker is now ready to be connected to a constant-voltage distribution
line with a voltage corresponding to the selection made when connecting
the line transformer.
