16. Fault finding
Fault
No reaction to movement
Unit does not react to the remote
control
Transmitting distance of remote
control is very short
Unwanted triggering of main unit
Cause
Sensor range too low
Unit is facing in the wrong direction
Thick wall or metal object is blocking the senor
N o wireless connect on i
C ode has been lost
Battery is weak
Movement of animals or passing cars
H eat sources can trigger the unit
U nit is operating on weak batteries (power LED
[6] illuminates red )
Remedy
Set adjuster [3] higher
Back side of unit must face the area to be monitored
Change the location of the unit
R educe the distance between remote control and
unit
E nroll the remote control to the unit again (see
chapter 10)
R eplace the battery (see chapter 10)
R educe the range of the sensor using adjuster 3
Change the location of the unit
S witch off the heat sorces or change the location of
the unit
R enew the batteries (see chapter 7, point 4)
