Loudspeaker service
If damaged, an 18" loudspeaker should be removed and replaced as described below. Recone kits are available.
Alternatively, reconing can be performed by L-ACOUSTICS
18" loudspeaker removing procedure
1. Install the SB28 enclosure in the horizontal position, grill on the top.
2. Remove the grill by removing the 2 hex screws located behind the logos.
3. Remove the 8 hex screws and grower washers off the loudspeaker to be replaced.
4. Lift up the loudspeaker and disconnect both red and black cables from the loudspeaker electrical socket: push
on the spring-loaded terminal post, remove the cable, and release the terminal post.
18" loudspeaker replacing procedure
1. On the new loudspeaker electrical socket, connect the red cable to the red-marked terminal post and the
black cable to the unmarked terminal post: push on the spring-loaded terminal post, insert the cable in the
hole, and release the terminal post.
2. Install the loudspeaker and screw in the 8 hex screws and grower washers.
3. Install the grill and screw in the 2 hex screws.
