Checking the Calibration
Check that the sensors were calibrated correctly.
It is necessary to check the calibration of the sensors on both the left and right sides. The right-side pedaling monitor sensor is
used as an example in this description. The procedure to check the left side is the same as for the right side.
1
Refer to steps 1 to 3 on page 37 to attach the calibration weight to the pedal and to attach the level to
the crank arm.
2
While the crank arm is pointed down, adjust the angle of the crank arm until the spirit level shows the
angle is perpendicular.
3
Carefully remove the calibration weight and the calibration pedal bolt.
4
In the sensor screen of the SGX-CA900, tap [Pedaling Monitor R] and then [Force Preview] in order.
5
Confirm that the values that appear on the SGX-CA900 Force Preview are within the range shown below.
•
Tangential Direction Force: 0 ± 3 N
•
Radial Direction Force: 0 ± 3 N
6
Refer to steps 1 to 3 on page 41 to screw the calibration pedal bolt into the pedal hole on the crank and
then hang the calibration weight on it.
