Installation Instructions:
Peugeot 306, three door, five door (fastback); not for notchback and convertible
At " a ", from the weld bolt remove the right M8 hexagon nut, located towards the centre on the

vehicle side, and the washer securing the rear silencer bracket on the rear apron.
At " b ", fit the 8.4x30x2 washer on the other weld bolt (towards the centre, not yet assigned) to
compensate.
Hold the towing bracket " 1 " in position under the vehicle and, at " a " and " b ", loosely screw

onto the rear apron with the 8.4x30x2 washers and the M8 hexagon nuts.
Note: Beforehand, if necessary, cut out a centre section from the bumper from beneath, 15 mm
deep and approx. 100mm long.

At " c ", check whether there is a gap between the side arms of the towing bracket " 1 " and the
frame side members of the vehicle. If a gap is found, it must be compensated for at the left and
right with the spacer plates " 8 ".
Hold the struts " 3 " and " 4 " in position on the outside of the frame side members at the left

and right, align the bores and, at " c ", screw on loosely with M10x60 hexagon bolts, 10.5x30x3
washers and M10 hexagon nuts.
At " e ", insert the spacers " 7 " between the side arms/spacer plates and the vehicle plates
and then screw on loosely with the M10x60 hexagon bolts, 10.5x30x3 washers (inner),
10.5x21x2 washers (outer) and M10 hexagon nuts.
Lift up the covering on the luggage compartment floor in the vehicle and remove the outer

protective plugs above the frame cross member in the floor plate.
At " d ", insert the fishplates " 6 " into the frame cross member and align with the fixing points.
At " d ", loosely screw on the struts " 3 " and " 4 " with the M10x25 hexagon bolts, 10.5x30x3
washers and fishplates " 6 ", which are already in the frame side members.

At " f " and " g ", insert the towbar with the mounting pipe " 2 " between the mounting plates on
the towing bracket " 1 "; at " f ", screw on loosely with the M12x90 hexagon bolt, 13x24x2.5
washer, socket holder " 5 " and the M12 hexagon nut; at " g ", screw on loosely with M10x30
hexagon bolts, 10.5x30x3 washers and M10 hexagon nuts.
Align the towing bracket and securely tighten all nuts and bolts.

Reinstall the protective plugs into the frame side members and place the covering in the
luggage compartment.
