Using the Single Line Converter for Simulator Operation
Use the SLC and the Dual USB Interface as shown in the diagram. Your receiver is being supplied with current
via the USB connection and does not require a separate receiver battery. Information about further settings
are explained in the flight simulator instructions.
Using the Single Line Converter with the GigaTronic
Remove the existing 35 or 40 MHz Single Line Receiver from your GigaTronic. Now connect the SLC and your
new receiver with the GigaTronic as shown in the diagram. Your receiver is now supplied with power from the
flight battery via the BEC of the controller (i.e. the Powerboard) and does not need a separate receiver battery.
Programming the channel assignment
Before you can use the transmitter with the GigaTronic, you will have to assign the channels first. When using
the SLC the programming process is different from the GigaTronic instructions. Depending on the transmitter
and the preferences of the pilot the functions, which are assigned to the channels, are transmitted differently.
Therefore the GigaTronic has to "learn" which function is transmitted at which channel of your transmitter.
It assumes that the four main functions of the two gimbal sticks are transmitted on the channels 1-4. The
sequence shown here has to be complied with exactly. Functions you intend not to use cannot be skipped.
Therefore additional switches/sliders cannot be assigned without flight phase (exception for rpm control) and
mode switches. A channel double assignment for the lighting system is only possible via the PC program Giga-
Tronic Control. When "QUIT" is mentioned in the following instructions a brief run of the tail rotor respectively
a brief twitch of the tail control servo
is to be expected. This means in both cases, that the GigaTronic understood the command and you may con-
tinue with programming.
Preparation at the transmitter:
•
Switch off all servo reverse settings
•
Switch off all servo mixers
•
Set all trimmers to center
•
(optional) set Flight Phase Switch to Hover (skip for rpm control)
•
(optional) Three-Position Switch in position Motors Off
•
(optional) Additional Switches/Channels in Off position
•
Switch off transmitter
Programming Process:
•
Connect the flight battery to the model. The LED of the GrigaTronic will flash red.
•
For the next two steps you will be allowed 20 seconds only.
•
Push both gimbal sticks in any corner and hold them there.
•
Switch off the transmitter.
•
Wait for "QUIT" signal (may take up to 30 seconds).
•
Release sticks and move pitch into minimum position; "QUIT"
•
Move the Tail Control stick all the way to the right; "QUIT", release tail stick.
•
Move the Forward Pitch stick all the way forward; "QUIT", release forward pitch.
•
Move the Roll stick all the way to the right; "QUIT", release roll.
•
Optional: Flight Phase Switch to Acro; "QUIT", back to normal position (not necessary for rpm control)
•
O ptional: Three Position Switch Mode in position Heading Lock; "QUIT", back to Motors Off. To acti-
vate the Auto Rotation Function move the Three Position Switch Mode again to Heading Lock; "QUIT",
back to Motors Off.
•
O ptional: Switch on additional switches in sequence; wait each time for "QUIT" and then switch back.
•
M ove Pitch all the way forward and back, response is a long "QUIT". The programming procedure is
finished, the LED will flash green.
