Safety instructions

3.1 General safety information

Danger
Always observe the following safety
instructions and the safety
regulations applicable in the
respective country of use!
- Disconnect the plug from the socket and/or
remove the rechargeable battery before making
any adjustments on the machine used with the
guiding device. An unintentional start of the
machine can lead to an accident.
- Securely attach the machine to the guiding
device before using it. A slipping of the machine
on the guiding device can lead to a loss of control
over the machine.
- Place the guiding device on a firm, level and
horizontal surface. If the guiding device slips or
wobbles, the machine used with the guiding device
cannot be guided evenly and safely.
- Always hold the machine used with the guiding
device with both hands on the handles provided for
this purpose. This is a prerequisite for precise and
safe working.
- Before each use, check the function of the
guiding device and check that all warnings are
attached and legible as they were when
delivered. If the warning notices on the guiding
device are missing, this can lead to an increased
risk of injury.
- When processing with connected guiding
device, the machine may only be removed from
the workpiece when it is in home position and
the retractable saw guard is closed. An
unprotected, trailing insertion tool can cause injury.
