2.4 HANDLE AND USE ELECTRIC TOOLS WITH
CARE
Do not overload your tool. Use the correct
electric tool for the job in hand.
The correct tool will enable you to work better
and more safely within the specific performance
range.
Do not use an electric tool with a defective
switch.
An electric tool that cannot be switched on or off
is dangerous and must be repaired.
If the connection lead has to be replaced, this
work must be carried out by the manufacturer
or one of its agents to prevent safety risks.
Pull the plug out of the socket before making
any adjustments to the tool, changing acces-
sories or put the tool down.
These precautions will prevent the tool starting
accidentally.
Keep unused electric tools out of the reach of
children. Do not allow people who are not
familiar with the tool or who have not read
these instructions to use the tool.
Electric tools are dangerous if they are used by
inexperienced people.
Take care of the tool. Check that the moving
parts function correctly and do not jam,
whether parts are broken or damaged such
that they adversely affect the function of the
tool. Have damaged parts repaired before you
use the tool.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
electric tools.
Keep your cutting tools sharp and clean.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cut-
ting edges will jam less and are easier to control.
Use electric tools, bits, etc. as described in
these instructions and as specified for this
specific type of tool. Take the conditions in
your work area and the job in hand into
account.
Using electric tools for purposes other than the
one for which they are designed can result in
dangerous situations.
