The unit is designed for do-it-yourself installation and
comes complete with all parts and componentes requi-
red. To simplify the installation, the system is split into
two sections, the compressor/condenser unit and the
evaporator. These sections are joined together by a fl ex-
ible pipe fi tted with quick-coupling connections, which
can be easily connected and disconnected repeatedly
without loss of refrigerant.
To achive good operating results, the following is essen-
tial:
● The refrigerator must be well insulated. Use polyure-
thane or similar foam 30 mm (1¼") thick for 50 litre (1.8
cu.ft.) boxes, 50 mm (2") for boxes up to 80 litre (2.8
cu.ft.) and 100 mm (4") or more for larger boxes.
● Battery capacity should be at least of 75 Ah to enable
suffi cient power to be stored during engine operation.
● All the electrical power supply equipment such as alter-
nator, regulator, cables, connectors and batteries must be
kept in good condition.
Installation
Mounting compressor
The compressor/condenser unit which must be installed in a
horizontal position can operate continuosly at a 30° angle of
heel. (Fig. 1)

Although the unit can operate in temperatures of up to 45°C, it
should be positioned in as cool a place as possible. If the unit
is to be installed in a confi ned space, ventilation can be impro-
ved by mounting a ventilation hose kit. (Optional equipment
part no. SBE00004AA). (Fig. 2

As the compressor is practically nearly silent in operation, it
can be placed in a locker, wardrobe, stowage compartment or
even under a berth.
Using the optional "Clic-on" bracket (Part no. SGE00002AA)
the compressor unit can be easily installed on a bulkhead.

Locate the compressor unit close to the expected position
of the evaporator unit in the fridge so that the length of the
connection pipe (2 m) is not exceeded. Make sure there is
suffi cient space surrounding it to connect and tighten the
quick-couplings on the pipes. (Fig. 4)

Electrical installation
The electronic unit must always be connected directly to the
battery or the main switch. Don´t mix up plus and minus. It is
very important that cables of correct dimensions are used for
the power supply. If a switch is to be installed, it must be rated
min 15A. (Fig. 5)
