Assembly and adjustment
Prior to assembly and adjustment always
unplug the tool.
Depth of cut adjustment (fig. D)
• Loosen the adjustment system by lifting the
lever (9).
• Set the correct depth of cut. The adjustment can
be read on the scale (10).
• Tighten the adjustment system by pushing the
lever.
For optimal results, allow the saw blade to
protrude from the workpiece by about
3 mm (e.g. for sawing 19 mm thick board,
adjust the depth of cut to 22 mm).
Parallel fence adjustment (fig. A & E)
With the parallel fence (12) it is possible to saw a
straight line parallel to the edge.
• Loosen the screw (15) and set the parallel fence
to the desired sawing width. The adjustment can
be read on the indicator (16).
• Tighten the screw (15).
Bevel adjustment (fig. A & E)
The bevel angle can be adjusted between 0° and 45°.
• Loosen the knob (3).
• Set the bevel angle by tilting the saw shoe (5) until
the mark indicates the desired angle on the scale.
• Tighten the knob (3).
Replacing the saw blade (fig. F)
• Open the lower blade guard (4) to allow access
to the blade. With the same hand press the
spindle lock button (8). At the same time, slowly
rotate the saw blade with your other hand to lock
the blade.
• Loosen the locking bolt (7) with the sawblade
wrench (17) and remove the nut and the
washers.
• Replace the saw blade. The teeth must point in
the direction of the arrow on the upper guard
housing.
• Install the washers in reverse order and tighten
the locking bolt (7).
en - 5
Never engage the spindle lock (8) while
the saw is running, or in an effort to stop
the tool. Never turn the switch ON when
the spindle lock is engaged.
Adjusting the riving knife (fig. G)
For the correct adjustment of the riving knife (11),
refer to the inset in figure G. Adjust the clearance of
the riving knife when the saw blade is changed or
whenever necessary.
• Adjust the depth of cut to 0 mm to access the
clamping screws of the riving knife.
• Loosen both screws and pull out the riving knife
to its maximum length.
• Adjust the clearance and tighten the screws.
Instructions for use
• Always observe the safety instructions
and applicable regulations.
• Ensure the material to be sawn is
secured in place.
• Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool
and do not exert side pressure on the
saw blade.
• Avoid overloading.
Prior to operation:
• Make sure the guards have been mounted
correctly. The saw blade guard must be in closed
position.
• Make sure the saw blade rotates in the direction
of the arrow on the blade.
Switching ON and OFF (fig. A & C)
For safety reasons the ON/OFF-switch (1) of your
Circular Saw is equipped with a lock-off button (1a).
• Press the lock-off button to unlock the tool.
• To run the tool, press the ON/OFF-switch. As
soon as the ON/OFF-switch is released the lock-
off switch is automatically activated to prevent
unintended starting of the machine.
Do not switch the tool ON or OFF when
the saw blade touches the workpiece or
other materials.
