In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device for damage

each time before you use it. Use the device only when it is com-
pletely assembled and operational.
In the event of damage/faults, switch the device off immediately.

Never try to repair the device or replace parts yourself. If defects

occur, the device may no longer be used. Get in touch with your
nearest customer service centre/specialist dealer or, in the event
of damage, please contact our customer service department.
The Proper Handling of Batteries
CAUTION: Batteries can be deadly if swallowed! Keep batteries
■
and the article out of the reach of children and animals. If a bat-
tery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the
■
device and on the batteries are clean; clean them if necessary.
Use only the battery types specifi ed in the technical data.
■
Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not use
■
batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with different
capacities. When replacing batteries, note the correct polarity
(+/–).
Take the batteries out of the device when they are dead or if you
■
are not using the device. This will prevent any damage that might
occur if a battery leaks.
Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and
■
mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid.
If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant
fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possi-
ble. Remove a dead battery from the device immediately. Clean
the contacts before you insert a new battery.
The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other me-
■
ans, dismantled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in fl uids, or short-
circuited.
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
Do not use any other accessories. Only the accessory parts
■
supplied by the manufacturer should be used.
