The straps are secured through the holes on the sides of the
stretcher at the position of the patient's hips and shoulders.
Simply pull a strap through each hole, and then loop it through
itself.
Two straps are mounted on each side of the stretcher, and then
hooked to the slingbar. Adjust the slingbar to the appropriate
width to prevent discomfort to the patient.
Before lifting, balance the stretcher using the six alternative lift
loops.
Start lifting carefully, and then stop to ensure that the stretcher is
properly balanced in a horizontal position. If it is balanced,
continue lifting; if not, lower the lift and adjust the balance using
the lift loops.
In each lifting situation, always perform an individual test to ensure
that the lift is properly balanced.
Always make certain that the stretcher is horizontal!
Always use the safety belts according to the instruction
guide for the Ferno Scoop Stretcher!
