Installation
During installation, adhere to the national standards as well as the generally recognised
technical regulations (in addition to information pertaining to the terminals contained in the
technical data).
Disconnect the power supply before opening the device!

8.1 Opening the enclosure

Open the upper cover screws fully

8.2 Mains connection

Ensure that the maximum permissible conductor temperatures are not exceeded by sel-
ecting suitable cables and a suitable means of running them.
Particular care should be taken when making the connections.
Please observe:
- that the wiring insulation must extend all the way to the terminal.
- that, when stripping cables, the conductor itself must not be damaged (notched).
- that the wires do not contact the mounting plate
If crimped wire ends are used, these must be gas-tight and attached using an appropriate
tool.

8.2.1 Intrinsically safe circuits

Only 2-wire leads without shielding may be used for intrinsically safe circuits.
When laying cable as per EN 50 020, pay attention to insulation properties and isolation
distances between intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits.
Also adhere to EN 60079-14, Section 12.
